| Movie Review |

I saw this wonderful new horror movie today called "Hell on Earth" I understand that it hasn't been released and yet I don't know why. It is based on a true story, well sort of as the opening suggests. It stars a wonderful upcoming actress named J. Robin in a major supporting role and some guy named Terry something as not only one but two of the story's main characters. The cinematography is stellar as is the sound with delightful special effects. There isn't one moment in the film when I wasn't on the edge of my seat. This is the movie by which all other horror films should be judged against. |

| | silly | ] | In honor of Thanksgiving I took an informal turkey census at work on wednesday. I counted 42 turkeys in one general area. Alas there is no hunting allowed. By the way, I didn't announce this but I was made a permanent hire at work at the end of September. I am glad. |

| The Trial is Over |
[May. 11th, 2007|10:55 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | thankful | ] | Well the trial is now over, I have faithfully upheld my civic duty to my country! Lets see we heard 4 days of testimony from 5 doctors and the woman involved, it is funny how no one agrees about even simple stuff. I am more amazed after I actually got my hands on the hospital chart that the medical profession can get anything right! Most of the doctors entries could not be read and the expert witnesses all had diffirent interpertations of what was written, absolutly amazing. However after hearing all the testimony and the judge's charge on the application of law to this case, there was no verdict we could find except in favor of the defendant in the case. We deliberated for about two and a half hours including lunch. The verdict was unanimous although it did not have to be so. We felt bad, it was obvious that the lady had suffered and will continue to have problems for the rest of her life. The plaintiff could not prove it was the doctors fault and we believed that it was an unfortunate risk of the surgery and nothing more. People had told me that we should have found him guilty after all he is a doctor and he has insurance, that the woman deserves something for her pain and suffering. The legal system works, it wasn't his fault and he didn't have to pay. I will never again bitch about a jury summons, it is an important job and someone has to do it. |

Just a few random thoughts about Falo and Stuff. Since the February Gather there has been stuff left behind. I would be more than happy to bring said stuff to the next Gather where said stuff could be reunited with it's rightful owner. However I ain't a goina be a going to the next Gather so your stuff won't be making the migration. My back up plan was to have another guest bring the stuff, but she never got invited, (a little Mentor problem) so youse won't be a seeing your stuff any time soon. If you have any suggestions let me know. |

| Spring! |
[Mar. 18th, 2007|12:17 am] |
Yeah I know there is a coating of snow on the ground,(about 2 inches) but there have been sure signs of spring. I saw the first pair of Robins earlier this week. Driving around as I do there were also the first signs of breasts beginning to emerge from their long winter hibernation. I saw quite a few pairs out for a stroll the few warmer days this week. Spring is on the way! |

| Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence | You are great at finding patterns and relationships between things. Always curious about how things work, you love to set up experiments. You need for the world to make sense - and are good at making sense of it. You have a head for numbers and math ... and you can solve almost any logic puzzle.
You would make a great scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, or mathematician. |

My brother didn't come, I am really not sure why. Debby's sister didn't come either. Christine didn't come because of the turnips. ; ) I'm tired. |

Well I knew that this day would come someday, but I didn't realize it would be so soon. Mac Duff (my dog) got one of my balls. He sunk his teeth in and ripped it wide open. Man did that feel bad, I paid $45 for that set of juggling balls, now they are in ruin. |

| Driving the bus |
[Oct. 10th, 2006|10:59 am] |
Today is the start of my third week back to work. I got my first paycheck today too. It was ready last friday, but I was off that day, no school for my children. I definitely think it is an easier job behind the wheel than back watching the kids. Funny thing after the 4 day weekend, I made a bunch of wrong turns today, kinda of like I didn't know where I was going. We still got there on time.
If i haven't mentioned it, these are special children. I don't know the politically correct term to use so I will just call them special. There are 5 of them between 6 and 10 years old, they are all easily provoked and are prone to violence. I have gotten kicked, punched, pick pocketed, scratched, cursed, and spat on. I am glad now that I am in the driver's seat. It has gotten better, we got them toys for the bus trip and it helps to keep them occupied and out of trouble. I can feel for these little ones, I hope that they will be able to bring their lives together, they can be just plain adorable at times. |

Debby was off work today so we went and got us a dog. Mac Duff is his name, he is a West Highland Terrier, 11 months old and he is kind of growing on me. I wasn't sure I really wanted another dog after we had to put Smokey down. No fights with Zoe yet, I think she could take the dog, hope we'll never have to find out. They will sort it out in time, mainly Mac wants to play and Zoe doesn't. He is not house broken yet since he has lived all his life with the breeders.
I didn't want to buy a animal since there are so many at the shelters. At least the breeder has a good reputation, all the puppies looked well cared for and the place looked clean. We were looking for a English Springer Spaniel, till Debby talked with an owner at the Brookhaven Fair last weekend. Looked at a Shetland sheepdog, a few others, spent some time with a Cock-a-Poo (fancy name for a mutt). They told us the price, I said I only wanted one not the whole litter. She didn't laugh, it was the price for one. Apparently puppies command top dollar, so we looked at last years models, the 2005 leftovers if you please. There was a Westie and a Maltese, we settled on the Westie. I don't think Debby wanted to chance me leaving since it took her so long to get me there in the first place. |
